Dario Grandich – Director

‘I love making a difference to my clients’ businesses and watching them grow’

I was born in Sarajevo and grew up in York, which is where Snapshot Media started out. I studied Design Practice & Business Management at the University of Leeds and worked as a sales executive for Virgin Mobile before founding the company. My degree helped me with business theory, user-centric design and my job allowed me to develop my sales and account management talents. I’ve been voted Runner Up in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year (York Press) and founded a business group for professionals aged under 30 (Yorkshire Mafia Young Guns) which I’m really proud of.

Starting up Snapshot Media was, and still is, about innovating. I have a passion for excellent client care and our clients are at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on being an approachable bunch and we’re a young company with zeal, calibre and determination.

 

Lawrence Dudley – Director

‘We’ve got a team capable of solving any client’s problems because we’re deeply passionate about what we do.’

I’m from London but I love being in the North of England and Leeds is very much the centre of a new wave of diverse creative talent. Before starting up Snapshot Media I worked freelance on digital strategy and implementation for AKQA as well as in the events sector. I worked on projects such as the Dubai Airshow and 2008 Beijing Olympics. I speak fluent German and photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.

For me, being a director at Snapshot Media is a dream realised. Our clients always give us a good challenge and rising to that challenge makes us all feel alive! The team here are fabulous and I am very proud that they harbour the same passion as all of the directors in terms of our vision for the company and all of its clients.

 

James Hall – Director

‘Snapshot Media are about learning and trying to create things that seem impossible.’

I started programming at primary school and used to sit inside at playtime and make stuff on computers. My favourite computer was an Apricot IBM clone from the mid-80s and I started programming on it in GW-BASIC. I used to go to the library and at age 9 (after reading all the children’s programming books) I blagged myself an adult library card and took leg-crushingly huge books back home with me on the bus. Since then I have created jsPDF, my work has been downloaded by over half a million users and reviewed in PC World Magazine.

Being a director at Snapshot Media is both challenging and great fun. The people I work with are hugely talented and committed to driving our clients’ businesses forward. We have a great beanbag area in our office where lots of our ideas and strategies come together and we will stop at nothing to solve any digital problem our clients face.

 

Andy Fitch – Director

‘Making an impression and gaining recognition is what we thrive on.’

I’ve always been told I’m entrepreneurial, whether it be simply coming up with good ideas, organising events, entering enterprise competitions or starting my own business. Once I realised I wasn’t the next Gazza it was the only path I ever saw myself taking, as I have a real passion for using logic to solve challenging problems through innovation. Computing was my main focus at school, I gained a first class degree in Information Systems from Newcastle University, then the natural progression for me was to start my own business after a small stint working in e-learning as a C#.NET developer in York.

Setting up Snapshot Media gave me the opportunity to really challenge myself every single day. There’s a fantastic variety of clients and work, we have a great work environment, and our staff love working here. We’ve only employed the brightest and most inquisitive minds so we really have a great workforce who are constantly challenging each other to improve and produce work of a really high quality.

 

Lola Wilson – Account Manager & Content Strategist

I became Snapshot Media’s first female employee this year following 5 years in the public sector managing operations at Leeds Childrens Services. I have a first class English degree from Liverpool University and I run my own website which promotes independent businesses in Leeds. I’m also the Independent Business Correspondent for The Yorkshire Times.

My job is about making sure that content conveys a clear and concise message and really reveals the character of every individual business. It’s also about looking after our clients and making sure that they know what’s going on at every stage. Snapshot Media are a gifted bunch of individuals that get on really well; working here is like working with family.

 

Tom Faller – Account Manager

I was Snapshot Media’s first employee when they were a team of just 5 people working in the Phoenix Centre in York. I graduated with a first in Law from De Montfort University and developed great organisational skills which help me ensure that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

I mainly liaise between our clients and development team, offering support where needed. Lots of the projects we’ve worked on have been fantastic and so original. The team are really dedicated and are my favourite part of working at Snapshot Media.

 

Lauren Allanson – Junior Account Manager

I first came to Snapshot Media on a summer internship and now I’m their Junior Account Manager. I have a degree in Sports & Materials Science from Birmingham University and I help complete projects and quality assess our work before it goes live.

I think this is an exciting place to work because it’s a young company that have an innovative approach to working with their clients. I’m looking forward to mucking in with the account team to make sure everything is up to scratch for our clients.

 

Louis Saville – Digital Designer

Before I came to Snapshot Media this year I worked in the digital industry for 4 years. I worked for 2 big name ecommerce companies designing for clients such as Coca Cola, Gulf Oil and Morrisons and I have a degree in Multimedia Technology from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Design is my passion and I love to create new and inspiring work – something that both myself and our clients can be proud of. Everyone at Snapshot Media definitely takes pride in the finished product and does their utmost to create something fresh and unique for every client.

Jamie Webster – Digital Designer

I joined us Snapshot Media after working for 2 large agencies in London and Manchester. I’ve worked with brands such as Sony, Disney, Morrisons, Which? and Dissarono and have over 6 years of design experience. I’ve been designing for web and learning HTML since my teens so it was always my first career choice.

I love all things digital and being part of such a dedicated, talented team is really exciting. I work on lots of different types of projects including branding visuals. We all drive ourselves really hard to produce innovative digital products, no matter what industry our client is in.

 

Alex Peters – SEO Consultant

I grew up in Bath and came to Leeds to complete my undergraduate and masters degrees. I have a bachelors degree in Graphic & Communications Design and a masters degree in Art Gallery and Museum Studies, both from Leeds University. Before I came to Snapshot Media this year I worked with the marketing team at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery and the Marks & Spencer Archive Exhibition.

Snapshot Media is a dynamic environment. I work with clients and the design team to enhance the web as a marketing tool. We produce great websites and part of my job is to make sure they get the coverage they deserve by exploiting search trends and tracking patterns.

 

Glenn Taylor – PHP Developer

I’ve been developing and designing for web since I was 13 years old – I used to squeeze my projects in with my homework! I started working for digital agencies at 17 and worked at a housing association as their web developer in Bradford for 4 years before coming to Snapshot Media this year.

The best part of working here is the autonomy and ownership we have. We all have individual strengths and we’re allowed to play to those and develop them in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. Our clients bring us great challenges and I love building solutions for them.

 

Jack Roscoe – Web Developer

I came to Snapshot Media straight after my graduation in 2011. I have a degree in New Media from Leeds University and grew up in nearby Saltaire. Snapshot Media has provided me with a great opportunity to develop my skills in web development but I also produce my own music and use my marketing experience to promote it.

Snapshot Media really invest in their staff and we’re always encouraged to bring something of ourselves to our work. Everyone here is passionate about what they do and I think that’s what makes Snapshot Media, as a company, so brilliant.

 

Danny Le Page – Web Developer

Like Jack, I have a degree in New Media from Leeds University. I completed an internship with Snapshot Media as part of my course and once I’d finished they said they wanted to take me on full time!

I love working here because we use the latest technologies to solve real world problems. It’s a very Google-esque environment. I feel like I’m learning all the time and the scope of work that we get is so wide and varied that it’s never quiet in our office.

 

Nathaniel Higgins – Junior PHP Developer

I’m in Year 11 at David Young Community Academy studying for my GCSEs. I work part time for Snapshot Media and I love developing my skills alongside talented professionals.

I love working for Snapshot Media because everyone is really friendly and dedicated. They are great at what they do because they really care about every project and making clients happy. They’re a fun bunch to be around and they have taught me a lot. Being a PHP Developer is great because I get to make anything I can imagine for the internet come to life!

As well as my own development projects I enjoy singing and acting.

 

Andrew Hathaway – Junior Web Developer

I’ve just started studying Software Development at Leeds City College and I work part time for Snapshot Media in the development team.

At Snapshot Media we’re always pushing the boundaries. We keep up to date with the latest developments in digital and we always strive to offer our clients new practical ways to help their business. We’ve got years of experience between us so I feel like I’m learning from the best.
